NEW Data Control information - from David Wood

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on 25 May 2018.  Like all other organisations with individual members, this means that BDHS will need your permission to keep your personal data and consent to contacting you by email, post or telephone. Sadly I must ask you to complete a new form to comply with the law.

Thanks to those who have returned their forms to me. However, not everyone has been able to so far and I must ask them to let me have them as soon as possible. To clarify matters, members are asked to only complete the membership form. This is not a request for payment of subs. I will mug you for those in the autumn!

The contact form is only for those who have asked to be kept in touch with the society's activities but have yet to join.

If you wish to be taken off our circulation list it would really help me if you could use the reply option and simply say delete and I will arrange it.

You may withdraw your permission at any time by contacting the society's Secretary (details below).

Please note that no information you provide us with will be passed on to any third parties.

If you have any queries or would like to receive a hard copy of one of the forms please contact me (details below).

Again apologies for the delay and the inconvenience of adding to the number of organisations asking for your agreement to the legislation.
