NEW - a trial of introducing items from our archive

Tony Smith will be announcing a new move which we will be trialing this autumn.

Twice a month we will be bringing various parts of the archive to Barham Village Hall committee room on Friday mornings, between 10am and 12 noon.

In September we will be there on Friday 14th and Friday 28th and in October the dates are Friday 12th and 26th. November and December dates will be posted in the next update. The idea is to provide members with the chance to look at what is in the archive that John has been building for the society and what is available to you for any research you are interested in following up. It may also provide an opportunity for you to help us improve the quality of what is in the archive.

Do come along, have a coffee, and find out what we have been doing.

If you have any photos or documents which you would be happy either to donate or allow us to take a copy to help us add to our archive please bring them along or contact our archivist (John Reynolds: 830384 / tjrey66@yahoo.com). Any photos which show the area or local activities are of interest, including recent items as, after all, today is tomorrows history. As well as using these for society events and work we have used them in other activities such as giving talks to the children at the local primary school and supporting exhibitions. As always your help with this would be gratefully appreciated
